Celebrating Our Priceless Volunteers

Thank you to all our volunteers who joined us for our Volunteer Celebration Evening. Our evening was filled with laughter, heartfelt speeches, and well-deserved recognition for the incredible people who make Bell View the special place it is today.

The highlight of the evening was recognising our longest-serving volunteers, whose dedication spans decades. We were particularly thrilled to honour three remarkable trustees:

Eileen Duncan received special recognition for an extraordinary 27 years of service. As our Chair, Treasurer, Quiz Master, and Baker Extraordinaire, Eileen has been the foundation upon which everything else has been built. Her unwavering energy and commitment through decades of change has been truly inspirational.

Kathleen Williamson was celebrated for her 23 years as a trustee. Having seen it all and survived it all (including the dominoes!), Kathleen has also supplied the Events Team with stupendous baked goods and continues to turn up with a smile and boundless enthusiasm.

Margaret Todd, our trustee "youngster" with a 10 years of dedicated service, has also been instrumental in Bell View's transformation and growth over the past decade.

We also celebrated the many other volunteers who contribute so much to our community - from our transport heroes and café champions to our gardening gurus and fundraising fanatics. Whether they've been with us for 27 years or 27 days, we recognise that each volunteer brings something special to Bell View.

Certificates were presented to volunteers with long service including Pat C who has worked with us for 20 years, Fay C (10 years), Ros M ( 10 years), Lynne C (9 years) and many others who have given years of dedicated service to our community.

As we said on the night, volunteers don't get paid - not because they're worthless, but because they're priceless. Our volunteers truly are the heart and soul of Bell View, turning good intentions into a living, breathing community that changes lives every single day.
