Our Trustee Board
Bell View is a registered charity governed by a voluntary Board of Trustees who are also directors of the company. Our Trustees give their time and considerable experience entirely free of charge, bringing professional expertise from across medicine, finance, law, education and local government.
Eileen Duncan
Chair & Treasurer | Finance, Audit & Risk Committee
A founder member of Bell View, Eileen retired from Barclays Bank in 2008 and is a former carer. As well as chairing the Board and serving as Treasurer, she chairs the Finance, Audit & Risk Committee and is a Director of Help at Home Ltd. She is Treasurer of four other local community organisations and audits the accounts of six more.
Jane Cowley
Vice Chair | People & Culture Committee
A retired headteacher, Jane brings experience in strategic planning and human resources management. She has previously served as a Trustee of Belford Community Group, and is campaign manager for a national campaign, giving her extensive experience of public relations and political engagement.
Dr Emma Miller
Trustee
A GP partner in the local medical practice for over 20 years, Emma has been a Trustee for many years, offering particular insight and advice on new services, human resources and the charity's strategic development.
Guy Renner-Thompson
Trustee | Finance, Audit & Risk Committee
A local County Councillor with a degree in Agriculture and Business Management, Guy has experience of writing feasibility studies for commercial and residential developments and has helped write Local Plans for Belford and the North Northumberland Coast.
Rev Louise Taylor-Kenyon
Trustee | People & Culture | Safeguarding
Vicar of Belford for nearly seven years and a Trustee of Bell View for five, Louise has a background in education and training. Her role as a member of the clergy involves leading three charities, managing volunteers, safeguarding for children and vulnerable adults, and grant applications.
Dr Shirley Tinnion
Trustee | Chair, Help at Home Ltd
Shirley joined the Board in 2022, having retired as a GP. She chairs the Board of Help at Home and brings knowledge of health care systems and community need, strong negotiation and communication skills, and an understanding of small business finance.
Margaret Todd
Trustee | Director, Help at Home Ltd
A long-serving Trustee and former Director of Day Care, Margaret cared full time for her husband who had MS, gaining considerable experience of the NHS and the needs of people requiring long-term care. She has worked in finance and as a nursery nurse, and ran support groups at Carers Northumberland.
Kathleen Williamson
Trustee | Finance, Audit & Risk Committee
A lifelong Belford resident, Kathleen has served as a Trustee of Bell View since 2001. She retired in 2010 as Accounts Manager for a local forestry management firm and is involved with many local community groups, including Belford War Memorial Hall.

As Bell View enters an exciting new chapter — broadening its reach and deepening its impact across North Northumberland — we are seeking new Trustees to join our volunteer Board. We would particularly welcome individuals with experience in legal, HR or finance. Our doors are always open to people who share our commitment to this community.
