The Heart of Bell View: Our Day-to-Day Impact

A wise man recently noted that whilst we advertise our fundraising and ad hoc events, we don’t often talk about the day-to-day operations.  The true essence of Bell View lies in our daily services that quietly transform lives across North Northumberland.

Every day, our transport service helps elderly and disabled community members maintain their independence, taking them to medical appointments, shopping trips, and social activities they would otherwise miss. Our wheelchair hire program similarly provides essential mobility support when it's needed most.

Our community hub bustles with activity as diverse groups gather- from art classes to  support meetings to yoga.  Meanwhile, our lunch club, warm hub and community café serve not just nutritious meals, but provide vital social connection for those at risk of isolation.  Our Share Shed and Share Bench enable us to mitigate against food waste and share surpluses within our community.

Behind the scenes, our dedicated staff and volunteers provide personalised support and advice, helping navigate complex systems or simply offering a compassionate ear to anyone who might need one. These one-to-one interactions often make the greatest difference to those facing challenges.
