Welcome

Bell View is an independent charity based in North Northumberland. We offer a range of health, well being and social activities both from our Resource Centre, based in Belford and beyond. We extend a warm welcome to everyone within the community and hope that if you haven’t visited us yet, that you might be tempted to in the near future.

Join us for a cup of tea and a chat, come along to one of our special events or try something new with us! Alternatively think about joining our dynamic band of volunteers or simply come along and choose a book from our bookshelves.

Our work is supported by two specialist social enterprise businesses which provide day care and domiciliary support to people in their own home. These services and the teams that support them are awesome and you can find more about them and us on these pages.

“I feel useful and Bell View is like one happy family”

Volunteers play a vital role in the work of Bell View. We currently have a volunteer team of 80 amazing volunteers. Without their enthusiasm and support we would not be able to offer such a comprehensive range of activities, events and services.

Vision and Aims

The Bell View vision is to develop and operate an integrated, co-ordinated range of services so that people can access whatever support they need. We aim to provide a single point of access to a personalised service, enabling individuals to receive a range of support and/or engagement in activities which meet their needs. We will work closely with partners to provide a seamless, individualistic approach where provision is traditionally inconsistent and patchy, particularly across rural areas.

We aim to:

  • enable people and their carers to live in the home of their choice and to ‘live well’ by promoting their physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.

  • reduce social and geographic isolation

  • increase community engagement and participation.

  • improve access to good quality housing and accommodation

  • provide advice, information whilst signposting and referring to other services
